PORA Participates in Activities Included in the Implementation Plan for the Concept of Sustainable Development of Indigenous Minorities

The Russian Government has approved an action plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Sustainable Development of the Indigenous Minorities of the North, Siberia, and the Far East. The plan, published in late December 2025 on the official legal information portal, contains 113 activities and is aimed at achieving the six goals of the Concept.

The government directive comes into force on January 1, 2026. The activities will be implemented by federal and regional executive authorities, with the participation of scientific organizations and public associations.

«The PORA Expert Center takes a very active part in developing the potential of the indigenous minorities of the North, Siberia, and the Far East. Our activities are listed under numbers 84 and 88. We will carry them out,» commented Maxim Dankin, General Director of the Project Office for Arctic Development.

PORA will act as the responsible executor for the implementation of item 84, which provides for granting support to associations of indigenous minorities of the North, and also as a co-executor in the implementation of item 86 – holding a legal seminar-meeting dedicated to issues of protecting the rights of indigenous minorities of the North.
